Local transport
Tenerife Transport Brief
For Tenerife South to Paloma Beach Apartments, use TITSA line 40 to Los Cristianos if you are travelling light and arriving during normal service hours. Use a taxi or pre-booked transfer for late arrivals, heavy luggage, or the least-fuss door-to-door trip.
Airport Arrival
Compare First, Drill Down SecondTitsa Bus
TFS -> Los CristianosShow Route
- At Tenerife South Airport, follow signs for buses and check TITSA line 40 towards Los Cristianos / Costa Adeje.
- Ride to Los Cristianos bus station or the best current Los Cristianos stop shown by TITSA.
- From Los Cristianos, continue to Paloma Beach Apartments by walking if practical, or use a short local taxi with luggage.
Ticket: Use a TITSA ticket or current TITSA payment option. Check the fare before travel because this guide does not store a verified adult single fare.
Late: Line 40 is mainly the daytime/evening choice. Use line 711 for late arrivals after checking the timetable against the actual landing time.
Onward: Paloma Beach Apartments is in Los Cristianos, but the bus is not a guaranteed door-to-door connection.
Cost: Rome2Rio's current route marker gives the airport-to-Los Cristianos line 40 bus at about EUR 3-4 and 28 minutes. Allow extra time for the final walk or short taxi to Paloma Beach Apartments, and verify current fare/timetable in TITSA before boarding.
Taxi
TFS -> Paloma BeachShow Route
- After baggage claim, follow airport signs to the official taxi rank.
- Give the destination as Paloma Beach Apartments, Los Cristianos.
- Confirm fare basis, payment method and luggage needs before the journey starts.
Ticket: Pay the taxi or transfer provider directly; confirm fare and payment before leaving the airport.
Late: Best fallback when buses are finished, delayed or awkward with luggage.
Onward: Door-to-door option for the apartment area.
Cost: Rome2Rio's current Los Cristianos taxi marker is about EUR 30-40 and 17 minutes. Treat Paloma Beach Apartments as the same resort-area range, with traffic, queues, luggage and exact drop-off able to move the final fare.
Night Bus
TFS -> Los CristianosShow Route
- Check TITSA line 711 before relying on it for the arrival date.
- Board only if the route and stop work for Los Cristianos after landing.
- Use a local taxi for the final leg to Paloma Beach Apartments if walking is not sensible at night.
Ticket: Use a TITSA ticket or current TITSA payment option.
Late: This is the overnight candidate after line 40 ends, but check the actual airport departure against the landing time before relying on it.
Onward: Late-night onward movement from Los Cristianos may still need a taxi.
Cost: Use the line 40 EUR 3-4 Los Cristianos fare marker as a rough night-bus planning proxy only; verify line 711 fare and timetable in TITSA before relying on it.
General City Travel
Mode Decisions For The TripTitsa Network
- Use for
- Airport links, resort-to-resort buses and lower-cost island movement
- Best for
- Budget movement between Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje, airport and main island hubs
- Pattern
- Island bus network with route-by-route timetables
- Ticket
- Use TITSA for routes, timetables and current ticket choices.
- Late
- Night travel depends on the route; check 711 for airport nights.
- Watch
- Buses are useful, but some sightseeing plans may need transfers or a tour/car.
Walk + Local Taxi
- Use for
- Los Cristianos seafront, harbour, food and short local hops
- Best for
- Short resort movement from Paloma Beach without over-planning
- Pattern
- Walkable resort core with taxi fallback
- Ticket
- Keep taxis for luggage, hills, late nights or heat.
- Late
- Use taxis for late returns when walking feels inconvenient.
- Watch
- Do not build very hot midday walks into the plan without a fallback.
Airport Night Bus
- Use for
- Late Tenerife South arrivals when a taxi is avoidable
- Best for
- Flexible travellers who can check the timetable before landing
- Pattern
- Line 711 is the listed night airport route
- Ticket
- Use TITSA for the current 711 timetable.
- Late
- Have taxi as the fallback if 711 is missed or awkward.
- Watch
- Night bus usefulness depends on the landing time and final stop.
Car Hire + Tours
- Use for
- Teide, north-coast days and less direct island sightseeing
- Best for
- Days where buses would create long transfers or weak timings
- Pattern
- Use selectively for island days beyond the resort corridor
- Ticket
- Keep public buses for simple corridor trips and tours/cars for harder geography.
- Watch
- Parking, mountain roads and insurance excess can matter more than the headline rental price.

Los Cristianos Street Market
tuesdays and sundays
Los Cristianos Street Market (The Main Tourist Market) This is one of the largest and most popular outdoor markets in the south of Tenerife. It is highly popular with holidaymakers looking for apparel, gifts, and a lively atmosphere. Days: Tuesdays and Sundays. Hours: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (though some stalls start winding down closer to 2:00 PM). Location: Located on the seafront esplanade along Avenida Juan Carlos I, right next to the Arona Gran Hotel and opposite Los Tarajales beach. What you’ll find: A massive selection of textiles, clothing, leather goods, footwear, costume jewelry, local handicrafts, souvenirs, and books. You will also encounter a significant number of cheap replica/counterfeit items (bags, watches). Crucial Tips: Cash is essential: The vast majority of stalls operate on a cash-only basis and do not accept card payments. Crowds & Security: It gets incredibly busy and tightly packed. Keep a close eye on your phone, wallet, and bags, as crowds draw pickpockets. Go early: Arriving around 9:00 AM ensures cooler temperatures and smaller crowds before the peak midday rush.
